White House Retreats from Public Eye After Trump Victory
How can she face the public now? She has been exposed at so many things. Covering up for Bidens incompetence. Being unable to act like a real politician in the faces of other politicians. Unable to have individual thoughts whilst showing ignorance on simple political affairs. Using hate as a median to gain votes. AS well as many other tactics she was told to use to ensure her victory that ultimately failed. I think currently, the Dems in control are secretly trying to do 2 things. Wash the election farce under the table and to make it extremely difficult for Trump to change what they have done. Both (of course) being done so Trump fails and the people change their thinking about putting Dems in control again. -

Quality 1-color area rugs in Bangkok?
Couple thoughts ... ... you get what you pay for ($200) 🙄 ... buy a better rug, along with a wet vac, it will offset the pro cleaning. Spend on the rug, not cleaning. Rugs don't do well here in TH, (heat & humidity) along with crap vacuum cleaners. I don't and won't own them, though see the attraction vs walking on hard tile floors. Me ... I have 2 sets of 'foam' sandals, one for outside, and one for inside, so walking on tile is a comfortable joy. Solves both problems. Use to have full carpets, and or those fancy (expensive as hell) oriental rugs back in the ol' USA. Not very applicable here, or very expensive. Same as USA, but harder to maintain here. Good Luck, but you'll need to add another '0' to your pricing for quality, at least, if not a whole other digit. -

Highway Police Dismiss Allegations of “Gang Stickers” Clearing Routes
Picture courtesy: Daily News The Highway Police have addressed claims regarding “angel stickers” allegedly used by the so-called "Unwashed Gang" to clear routes without police intervention. This clarification follows suspicions raised by the popular Facebook page “E-Sor Kha-Yi News” about the use of such stickers during a recent event in Phetchabun Province. On 24 November, the Facebook page highlighted the alleged sale of these stickers, priced between 250 and 5,500 baht, supposedly granting vehicles immunity from police checks. The post claimed part of the proceeds funded individuals who facilitate unimpeded travel. It further questioned the integrity of law enforcement in addressing such practices. In response, a source from the Highway Police Command stated that no official reports have been filed concerning these stickers. On the date in question, three police checkpoints were set up along key routes in Phetchabun: 1. Highway 21, kilometre 106, Khok Sa-at, Si Thep District. 2. Highway 21, kilometre 152, Nong Chaeng, Bueng Sam Phan District. 3. Highway 2372, kilometre 8, Na Ko, Lom Kao District. Led by Pol. Lt. Col. Worabadin Lertsuphasinsthit, officers inspected 430 vehicles, including 30 flatbed trucks and 400 motorcycles. Violations issued included: - 38 cases of missing number plates. - 16 cases of unlicensed drivers. - 17 cases of riders not wearing helmets. - One case of missing tax stickers. Authorities also impounded one motorcycle and seized drugs in a separate case. The police emphasised that no consistent symbols or stickers were found on inspected vehicles, suggesting that the stickers referenced might be part of vehicle customisation trends. Moreover, none of those stopped during the operation mentioned the stickers. The Highway Police reiterated their commitment to transparent enforcement and dismissed allegations of complicity in illegal activities, reported Daily News. -- 2024-11-25 -

Father and Son Narrowly Escape Fiery Death After Car Fire in Rayong
A father and son narrowly escaped a tragic accident after their car burst into flames following an explosion in the engine compartment. The incident occurred at approximately 16:00 on November 24, at the Somdej Ya Intersection on Highway 36, inbound to Rayong city, in Thap Ma Subdistrict. Police Lieutenant Colonel Kongthap Preedet, deputy investigator of Rayong City Police Station, immediately dispatched fire trucks from the Thap Ma Municipality and rescue personnel from Sawang Porakun Foundation to the scene. Upon arrival, responders found a black Subaru engulfed in flames. It took firefighters about 30 minutes to extinguish the blaze, though the vehicle was entirely destroyed, reduced to a charred skeleton. The interior, including seats and the dashboard, was completely incinerated. Fortunately, the driver and his son managed to escape the vehicle moments before explosion. The car’s owner, Mr. Jamnong, 53, recounted the terrifying experience. “I had just picked up my son from his tutoring session in Rayong and was driving home. We were only 500 metres from our house when I noticed thick white smoke pouring from the engine. I immediately pulled over and told my son to get out of the car. I quickly grabbed some personal belongings and important documents before exiting.” Mere seconds after they exited, an explosion erupted from the engine compartment, and flames rapidly engulfed the vehicle. Despite swift efforts by the fire brigade, the SUV was entirely consumed by the fire. The cause of the blaze remains unknown. Mr. Jamnong revealed that the vehicle had recently undergone extensive repairs, costing over 200,000 baht, and had only been back in use for a short time. Authorities have transported the vehicle to an investigative facility, where experts will conduct a detailed examination to determine the cause of the fire. No injuries were reported, but the incident has left the family shaken and serves as a stark reminder of the importance of vehicle safety and maintenance. Picture from responders. -- 2024-11-25
