Long Term Bike Parking Near Cambodian Border?

Featured Replies

As it says I want to leave my CBR250 in Thailand near the Cambodian border (Had Lek - Koh Kong) for a month or so.

Suggestions?

If you are the owner of the Bike, you can bring the bike to Cambodia. Just some Paperwork.

Do not like that, convinient,no?

I parked my car once for 5 weeks at that border, just stopped on the big Parking space in front of a shop-he was maybe not happy-and parked.

No problem. But a Motorbike, different story.

One solution, if you do not want or cannot bring the Motorbike to Cambodia, is, to ask for the secured Parking space for the Koh Kong Casino on Thai soil

and park it there, for a small fee or Tip.

Maybe its also possible, to ask at one of the shops near the border on Thai side, if they have secluded space for your bike for a affordable fee.wai.gif

get anti - theft insurance before you leave a bike there or anywhere else for a month

then if it does disappear ,you wil get 80% back at least

Thanks all.

I ended up leaving it at a friend of a friend's place in Trat.

I had thought about bringing it in, but after being here a few days already, I am glad I didn't. Too much hassle on the roads - much happier to putt putt around on a Wave.

Maybe next time...

Cannot second that. Easy ride in Cambo, no hassle for me.

Rent once a 250 cc Enduro bike in the middle of Phnom Penh at my first visit in Cambodia, 6-7 years ago and drove togther with my "new" Cambo-Vietnam "GF" down to Sihanoukville, Kep, Kampot and up Bokor Hill.

Rent, 4 years ago a bike in Koh Kong and drove to Sihanoukville from that side over all the new bridges.

Never a problem in Cambo, only a flat tyre, fast repaired, friendly people.

A lot of Bangokians and Pattayaner drive to SNV even with their heavy Harleys.

Would any time drive with my bike, 400 CBR Honda to Cambo, but not in my name.wink.png
