I hear that Martin is in a bad way, as Im in the UK at the moment has anyone any news of him?

I was told last week that it's cancer, I think mouth cancer or something like that. I am out of the country too but will be checking later next week after I get back.

I understand that Martin is under care in Bangkok at the moment. There's a big banner outside his pub in Ban Chang thanking everyone for helping him out in his hour of need. That's great news for one of Ban Chang's first, if not THE first man to set up a watering hole on the street that I now see has some new bars on the opposite side of the street.
