Im new in Jomtien.. I hope to stay here for a year at least.

Crazy driving…

How can someone be so incredibly stupid so they are driving around drunk and like crazy in a marked up company car???

I was driving my motorbike in Jomtien heading towards Pattaya this night when an apparently drunk driver in a company SUV marked “Bruno's Restaurant & Bar” suddenly made a U-turn just in front of me blocking 2 lanes. I did brake hard and so did a few others too. I drove around the SUV shaking my head in surprise and continue my ride when i saw the SUV approaching me from the behind driving between lanes in high speed and on high engine revs. I got scared that the SUV would knock me off the road in to the center refuge concrete blocks… The SUV passed me and continued its high speed driving between the lanes. I hope that they did not hurt anyone or them self.

One thing is for sure, I will never dine at Brunos

Welcome to Pattaya!

It's a great place to learn not to get angry or upset at stupid driving as;

- a lot of people do it (Farang and Thai) so it happens every few minutes

- it makes no difference to their driving if you react or not

- if you do react and get angry they will probably beat the crap out of you or shoot you!

what makes you think he was drunk ? i see thai people swerving dangerously all over the road most days and sometimes they do knock bikers off their bikes
