Cm Inthanon, Lost The Plot

Went with a friend to CM Inthanon today, I had purchased the 'Privilege Card' a couple of months ago and we were going to use a 50% discount coupon. The discount applies to 'regular rates' which is(was) 1800B weekday. Lo and behold the Thai law of completely irrational forethought has been applied and now the weekday regular rate has been raised to 2500B as of Mar.1. Do you think I was pleased? Not to mention that the Mar.1 special rate for Thais and residents has been lowered to 1300 and after 12:30 it is 750B. Make sense? It seems that the increased rate is directly aimed at holders of the discount package as there are very few tourists around now. Also the caddie rate is increased to 250B.

Let's just say I was fuming and demanded to see the manager. I kept my cool but made a very good case in that the promotion package as offered was sold with the course stating that greens fees would be 900B with the 50% off coupon. I held my anger in check but did go so far as to call them liars in selling the discount package under false pretense as the promotion is barely 2 months old.. Anyway the 'day manager' took my number and I expected that nothing further would come of it but as we were having a drink after playing the girl from the pro shop came up and handed me a card stating that my "Privilege Card' discounts will be honoured on the rate of 1800B weekday 2400B weekend until the expiry date of my card. So it seems that the squeeky wheel.... If you are a holder of the card you should do the same as it seems they are willing to accommodate if we complain.
