Just wondered if anybody ever had problems doing a 'standard' visa run every 30 days (UK passport)?

For example, the border authorities for whatever reason simply won't let you into the country?

Yes people have had problems but to my knowledge they have been allowed into the country long enough to get a flight home.

More often people are told not to try another crossing at that checkpoint when exiting and are smart enough to take the hint.

Going back a couple years all the 'experts' on this site were warning how the days of 30 day visa runs were nearing an end. No more would the govt. stand for thios abuse of the system. Here were are two years later and there has been no big crackdown. I know plenty of people who have been to the same border 24-48 times in a row without incident. Sometimes they have to show 10,000 baht. One person was told to go to another border crossing the upcoming month and then come back as usual.

I never did see any apologies explanation from the experts. The topic just kind of faded away.

I am not an expert, but there were several notable factors the experts probably thought about that turned out to be wrong, at least up to now. First tighter controls for anti-terrorism would put an end to it, second a computerized system was adopted that people speculated could and would allow quotas to be implemented, and third there has been general tightening here and there with other visa types in recent years. But ironically it seems 30 day runners have been about the least affected of them all!
