Hello.

I stay phuket i may2012, what time sailes ferry fra saladan to koh phiphi/lanta?

What about prices , is it best to buy ticket in airport or in kata?

Thanks.

Ferry leave's from Rassada Pier Phuket 8.30 am 1000bht to lanta can't remember price for Phi Phi probably about 750

Book with a local agent, not online. Cost, including pickup from you hotel/guesthouse, between 300 and 400 baht to Phi Phi, depending upon which ferry company and your bargaining skills. Lanta is about 850 baht.

Wel it was 1000 bht last month has it dropped now then?

Going to Koh Lanta could be a nice overnight trip. Is it possible to take a scooter to the boat and how much would it cost?

Or is there a safe parking area for scooters at the pier?

How to handle the transportation on Lanta? I have never been there.

The trip from Ao Po to Lanta can be done by bike, too. It is a nice ride, but will take a few hours. On Lanta you will be happy to have your bike, there is a lot to explore (and lay out geocaches) :-)

But anyway - a friend of mine took his Honda Dream on the boat, and it was quite affordable.

That would probably mean going from Bang Rong pier to Koh Yao Noi then from there to Krabi.. and somehow from Krabi to Lanta? I have done the trip Krabi-Koh Yao Noi-Bang Rong with scooter.. and it already took about 4 hours. That would be doable, but a really loong trip :) For geocaching purposes it could make sense (except the geocaching site is in pretty bad condition nowdays).

Or is there a more direct way to go from Ao Por pier to Lanta?

Try a different agent next time!
