How Much Is Legal To Increase A Lease Contract In Thailand?

Featured Replies

I had a lease contract 3+3 year with the rent 80,000 Baht/month. In the lease contract it was stated that I was the first person to renew when the 3+3 year contract was finnish (but no condition was mention) Then now when I shall renew, the same landlord as before give me the option to renew but with the Rent 250,000 Baht. Is that legal in Thailand or is it some law that regulate how much you can increase the rent?

Unless the amount of increase is specified in the lease contract then the sky is the limit. You should always have a lawyer review your lease contract before signing for this very reason.
