Here's a quote from Mike Carlton (Aussie journo and broadcaster) from a recent interview ... Eddie Jones, in attempting to defend Australia's 7th loss in a row said, "If you take the scrum out of the equation (Aust v Eng, Twickenham) we played well", to which Carlton responded, "If you take the assassination out of the equation, President & Mrs Kennedy quite enjoyed the drive from Dallas to the airport."

Reader Jim C. of New York noted that last week Jon Stewart interviewed Sarah Jessica Parker about her new movie and asked: "Is this like Davis Cup for actors where you all get together and it's more collegial with it being an ensemble?" Surprisingly, she did NOT respond: "Rings a bell. Isn't that some tennis competition that never quite seems to begin and never quite seems to end."
