Burmese President Thein Sein will make a five-day visit to Japan beginning on Friday to attend a multilateral meeting and hold bilateral talks with Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda, who is expected to announce the restart of full-fledged financial assistance to Burma during the visit. It will be the first official visit to Japan by a Burmese leader in 28 years, a Japanese Foreign Ministry official said. Noda’s one-on-one talks with the president will be held on the sidelines of a one-day summit on Saturday between Japan and five Mekong Delta nations.
