Where To Find Good Spa Therapists

Featured Replies

My wife is opening a spa in Sukhumvit and needs to put together a strong team of spa therapists. She put an advert on Thai Visa classified but had no response and she put a poster up outside the spa but most of the girls who came in to enquire could barely speak English (a basic command of English is required). The only Thai based recruiting site that I know is Jobs DB, but that is more for office based jobs, so I don't know what to suggest to her.

Does anyone know which are the best Thai recruiting websites for jobs like this?

Even better, does anyone know any experienced spa therapists who speak English?

PS: the pay will be 700-1,000/day (+ tips) depending on experience

As a fellow spaowner, I wonder what kind of paystructure allows you to garantee a pay of 700-1000 bath a day i low season? I guess you know the norm is 100 baht/worked hour or a fixed monthly salary of no more than 10k/month ?? If you are really serious about 20-30k a month, I can get you staff with basic English skills in 5 minutes. Spa/massage, not a brothel ?

Thanks very much for your reply; maybe I should explain further...

We already have a spa in London and have convinced some of the therapists from that branch to move to Bangkok; my wife wants the rest of the staff for the Bangkok spa to be of a similar standard to ensure consistency of service. She is happy to pay good salaries to make sure we get the best staff.

We are regular customers of some of the best local spas here and the therapists in each of those places have indicated salaries well above the level you mention. Please reply to this (or PM me) if you have a good idea where my wife can source good staff.

what is it that you plan to charge hourly and what will they be paid?

Prices will be similar to other spas around here (c.1000/hour) and there will be a loyalty card scheme

Staff will be paid a fixed salary depending on experience (700-1000/day) and obviously they can keep tips

If you're serious about operating a high-end facility, as it appears from your posts, you may want to get in touch with the Thai Spa Association. They also have a job board on their site that should get you in front of your target group of therapists. Best of luck!
