Registering Pre-paid Sims On Ko Phagnan

Featured Replies

Hi! I was wondering if any KPN residents could help us with some info?

Me and the missus decided to take advantage of some favourable weather forecasts and head down from Bangkok to KPN for a week or so over New Year...

The thing is, we totally forgot to register our pre-paid SIM cards before leaving Bangkok (d'oh). Is there anywhere on the island where this can be done? I have AIS 1-2-Call and the Missus has Orange...

Any advice would be greatly appreciated - otherwise, we'll just have to wait and see what happens on 1st Jan 2006!

Cheers!

Jez

Tesco main entrance , walk through , 2 phone shops will serve your needs.

Sorry , have to turn left.

i live in koh phangan and asked the phone shops here to register my sim, but apparently they are no longer doing it here and you will need to go to samui or surat thani.

We registered our sim today at Nathon Post Office (Samui) and they told us today was the last day for registration?! :o

Really? Odd. Customers of ours just came back from Thong Sala, they bought a new SIM today and needed their passport to register it.

Try the Friendly shop opp the new Thai Military Bank in Thong Sala, they are the biggest on the island and worth a try anyway.
