PMK Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 I will be buying a new car then selling a used one a few days later. I'm wondering if the car dealer will insist on keeping the original of the residence report and if so, will that will necessitate have two reports - another for the car registration office when I sell the used car. Does anyone know? Thanks, Peter
ubonjoe Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 I would think that the dealer should accept a signed copy of the of residence certificate. If that was a problem a certified copy done by a notary should take care of the problem. You should make sure that the certificate includes both buying and selling a car.
joepattaya1961 Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 I think that the car dealer doesn't care what you come up with. It's the Transport department that may require original documents. The Immigration usually hands out one document per transaction with a validity of 30 days.
samran Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 ... Which is why you get your name on a yellow tabieen baan if you can. Minimises the need for ever needing a house registration again.
