I'm in the process through a lawyer of charging someone who embezzled and sold some property. The money has disappeared.

My lawyer tells me that there will be an up front fee at the court based on a percentage of the amount claimed.

Is this correct? What percentage?

Charges depend on the amount of the lawsuit

If the amount is less than 300,000 Baht then the Court fees are 200 Baht

If the amount of the suit is more than 300,000 Baht then the fee is 2% up to a max of 200,000 Baht

If the lawsuit is for more than 50 million Baht then the fee is 0.5% with no maximum fee.
