How We Can Start With A 30.000 $

Hello friends,

We are 2 friends who are want to start a travel agency in Thailand. We have max. 30.000 $ for this company.

We will start in Thailand with an office, and we want to get tourists from our home-town, Turkey.

So How can we start? How much will it be with all local procedures?

Could you give us some hints and tips?

Don't follow, surely if you and tourist from Turkey you would open a site in Turkey not in Thailand. Jim

Do you have a business plan?

What is the population of your home town?

What percentage of the population do you expect will go on holiday to Thailand?

What percentage of those will not be able to use the internet to book their flights and hotels?

How often will those people go on holiday to Thailand?

How many dollars margin will you make per holidaymaker?

Not sure why you need an office ? Sounds like you just want to be in Thailand so why not just get a web site or even just get on Facebook or.. ......somewhat silly to limit your target market to your home town.

He doesnt mean " home town" But home country.

I happen to speak turkish and just out of interest googled the turkish resources, turkish tourist numbers who visit foreign countries is exploding and there is money to be made. But a business like this like any other business needs people who know their craft so someone should know exactly what they are doing and how they want to do it before any advice could be given.

Only thing i know ( have some experience as a employee in the past ) is that the business sucks for small and/ or inexperienced people. It seems fun just like having a bar but going on holiday or drinking in a bar is very different than owning ...........

Anyway your question seems to be about legal stuff....for that there are many people on this forum who could help you, some are proffessionals.

What are your plans?

1 Travel agency which based in turkey like many others only booking flights and hotels......

2 travel agency which offers complete tours with a guide

3 travel agency based in thailand which sells tickets etc

I think the OP wants to open a travel agency in Thailand. I understand that the number of Turkish people visiting Thailand is increasing. So there would be two business models:

1. Inbound tour operator.

This would require good contacts to Turkish outbound tour operators.

2. Outbound travel agent

This would require good contacts within the Turkish community in Thailand.

Let's wait for the OP to explain what their plans are.
