I've never seen them in Thailand nor have I ever seen the game played here. You may have more luck getting one made rather than finding a shop that sells them - they appear to be a very simple design. I have one which I bought in India years ago - you're welcome to borrow it to take to a woodwork guy and ask him to replicate it if you wish.

Thanks for the replies, and offer to loan a carrom board. I will probably bring in a board from Singapore during my August trip to the island. Been told that boards are being sold there at Carrefour and branches of Popular Bookstore. Price is less than SGD 50 for a complete set.
