Finding And Getting Started With A Dreambox

I am having a hard wire LAN installed next month, and I want to get a Dreambox so that I can watch American television, especially American fall sports. Can someone give me some direction on where to find one, which models to get, and what kind of equipment I'll need to use it, please?

I am not technologically stupid, but about the Dreambox, I confess ignorance. I just need many more options than we Americans have through local cable and satellite providers.

I am in the Greater Bangkok area. Is Panthip the place to go, or is there an individual here, or even in Pattaya, who can teach me about and sell me a Dreambox?

How would you connect the dreambox, as True has now become aware of dreamboxes and done something to stop you using them.

Another alternative is if you have a good Internet link (not so common in Thailand), then you could rent a box in the USA which would be connected to you via the Internet onto your TV, so that you can view TV channels from America, this idea is Slingbox.

7/11 sells the GMM Grammy box, they do not sell Dreamboxes. Two different things altogether

can anyone advise which type of dreambox is suitable for use in thailand? the 500 or 600 or 800 series? and what images do i have to download to receive all the channels like discovery,national geographic,hbo ppv etc etc

is dreambox still working now because apparently TRUE has implemented some measures to stop all the dreambox from working. is it true?
