Wat Chong Samaesaan, Sattahip

This temple got regulary flooded, so it was decided to lift up the whole construction.

During the process it became an attraction to walk under the temple... Heaps of donation money flooded the temple coffers, so they made a nice tunnel under the temple and other renovations.

Will be back to photograph the tunnel + toilets...

Every village around the area I live, near Khon Kaen has 2 or 3 Wat......or Wats.

They are competing between them who will show the nicest building and interior.

I've been to many of them during my morning expeditions and I thought this stand out, more for the interior.

A few years back, coming up from the Malaysian border, cannot remember exactly where... I find older temples interesting or perhaps they have a bit of character !
