Some might argue this is not a temple in the purest sense of the word but it is called Wat Rong Khun.

Wonderful tangaroa.

Care to share what it took to reach this final image?

^^^ I was thinking the same and also wondered what focal length?

Thanks, @shaggy1969, @rhythmworx!

Actually, I'd gone there to make a different image (which didn't pan out), and only shot this as an experiment, as I was leaving ... 30 minutes after the best light. They've installed what can only be described as a concessions kiosk right in front of the temple, so I wasn't even sure a shot was possible. I was backed right up against it (and you can see it's shadow in this image).

Shot manual, the base settings were f/8.0 - ISO200 - 1s (bracketed five exposures -2 -1 0 +1 +2). It was shot portrait and I used the 'shift' function of my Canon EF17mm f/4.0 TS-E lens to shift the image all the way to the left, and then all the way to the right (without moving the camera body), making a total of 15 exposures. I then manually blended each group of five images in Photoshop using luminosity masks, before stitching them together.

I'll go back to shoot it again with better light.

Wat Niwet Thammaprawat, Ayutthaya province

Don't be deceived by its looks. Wat Niwet, though it may look like a Christian church, was commissioned by King Rama V as a Buddhist temple, but in the Gothic Revival style. Completed in 1878, it's breathtakingly beautiful. It's situated on an island in the Chao Phraya river that's accessible only by a monk-operated cable-car.

Very possibly, my new favourite temple in Thailand!
