Huay Kwang man arrested with arsenal of grenades, AK-47 bullets

BANGKOK: -- Bangkok police arrested a 34-year-old man with a massive arsenal of weapons in his Huay Kwang apartment last week.

They searched the room of Sompong (“Boy”) Sueprang on Pracharat Bamphen Soi 6 looking for drugs, but instead found 14 M67 grenades and 1500 AK-47 bullets in addition to three grams of meth. Sompong’s 19-year-old girlfriend was also arrested, FM91 radio reported.

Sompong denied ownership of the weapons, saying that they belonged to his friend Teung who he had only known for a few months.

Man, to be honest I'd probably have harbored the box for someone for 20k.

Of course, the first thing I'd do is look inside and then relocate it to a more secure location if it contained a ton of grenades. Not so much about the law but more about having a ton of freaking grenades lying in your house.
