250 THB per hour = 2,000 a day compared with minimum wage for Thai citizen of 300 a day, I think it's quite a reasonable rate for Native English speaker with no teaching experience required. Visa and work permit also provided.

Its an ok wage. But most places would expect 20 to 25 contact hours. And 300b is minimum daily wage wage. My thai gf is on 30000 baht a month. Just letting you know.

If your not interested in the job, then you do not need to apply.

I believe it says:

for a 40 hour work week.

You are correct Scott. That's why I mentioned contact hours. How many schools or language centres expect 40 contact hours. Burn out looming.

If you feel my comments are not informative for possible new teachers. Delete them. Regards

In your add you state "only applicants with suitable teaching experience need apply ", so make your mind up ?

I had a similar job in the past. My time was split with about %50 or less spent teaching and the rest spent writing lesson plans & course outlines, interviewing new employees (both Thai and Foreign), helping the marketing dept. and goofing off.

Language schools always need one or more teachers who can do a bit of everything and are flexible.

40k - 45k IMO is not bad at all. I have a Thai friend who received her PhD in Biology a few years back, then afterward took a teaching job at a University in Bangkok. Her starting salary was 16k and that's with a full hall of student. I don't know how much they pay foreigners there but I can't see it being much over 30k.
