New Tablet, First Time Android

Featured Replies

Oooooh baby after lurking for months my first post on TV.

First of all where did you order your Infinity from? I'm ordering getting mine on the 7th through my bf straight from Asus (he works in electronics).

Was it from a reputable company or one of the random eBay sellers?

Did you remember to CHARGE it? I'm always amazed how many ppl forget to charge their devices first as they don't always have partial charge out of the box.

What to use your tablet for? The great thing about the Infinity is that it bridges the gap between tablet and notebook really well. It comes preloaded with an office suite that actually allows you to not only edit but build word and excel documents from scratch. Go Android! Kindle is also preloaded since you love books. You get the fun of a regular entertainment consuming tablet with all the apps, but also the ability to get real WORK done on it as well especially with the keyboard dock.

That's why I chose the Asus Infinity :D

Hopefully that helps give you a jumping off point.

First Infinity I ordered from invadeit. Invadeit is great, but the TF700t did not work.

I sent it back and they told me ASUS has no stock in grey, I can either take gold or they give me the money back.

They are very straight forward....

I took the money back and bought it at Panthip plaza.

Yesterday, I got a HD movie to run...beautiful....

I use chrome to read the newspaper in the morning in the bed....way more comfortable than the laptop....

Today I installed a barcode scanner...it doesn't make sense but it is fascinating me...

Currently I try to get my Garmin maps to run.

Today it started to slightly autoadjust the screen brightness even with this feature turned off. But it seems after a cold reset (Vol minus and power button together for a long time) it seems to be fixed.

I think a cover is needed....but not included.

Thanks for the updates. Keep us updated on your impressions/experience as I'm looking at getting one also. BTW, did this come with the docking station or does one have to order that separately?

So far the experience is great..

It came with the docking station. It's the tf200t docking station.

(Just typed that without docking station which alsoworks fine)

just trying it with keyboard. using google chrome is 99% same as on the laptop. But Thaivisa is a bit slow. It didn't seem so slow when scrolling when I used the tablet only.

but still good useable. And I use the balanced mode, I could ramp up speed. But writing the posting here is complete natural like on the laptop.

I think it is fascinating how easy ICS and the tf700t is to use. Almost everything I understand on myself without asking.

seems like my TF700t is not working....it can vibrate and I heard sound from it, but no back light from the display....

Maybe it is not loaded full enough, but I think after 1.5 hours plugged in, it should show some reaction.......

I bought one in Fortune last week. They said charge it overnight the first time.

So I did.

And it's fine.

Yup you're supposed to charge it for at least 8 hours before you first use it. They say to charge it to 100% before you do anything.

Where I bought it, they just started it and tested the basic functions before they gave it too me. There is a 10 % charge in it.

Then the first thing to do is charge it overnight,

Charging for 8-hours, charging overnight...... it may only take an hour. It depends how depleted the battery is to start with. When its fully charged it will stop charging no matter how long you leave it.

Good choice of tablet all the same. I got the grey one from JJB at Zeer Rangsit. Had it a couple of weeks and its been great.

yes it comes with a little charge on it.

If you plug it in and let it plugged in, you can start it immediately....

just watched a HD movie on it, Every time again I am amazed about the screen quality. That thing is almost SiFi....
