THE OFFICIAL OPENING OF SUVARNABHUMI AIRPORT IS EXPECTED TO GENERATE INCOME UP TO 5 PERCENT

The Acting President of the Airports of Thailand Public Co., Ltd. (AOT), Mr. BANCHA PATTANAPORN (บัญชา ปัตตนาภรณ์), said that the official opening of Suvarnabhumi Airport, which is expected to take place by the end of June, will help the AOT generate its income.

The AOT is expecting to generate its income by one billion baht from the bidding in various projects such as ground services and cargo. It is also expecting the income of 1.4 billion baht from the rental fee. Overall income is forecasted to increase up to 5 percent.

Mr. BANCHA said that these factors will help the AOT increase its income to 15,000 million from 14,000 million baht of last year. He added after one year of the airport’s operation, the AOT will generate up to around 18 to 19 billion baht, which is higher than expected.
