Can i ask why this has happened? I know i am a bit slow on the uptake but his last posts were in mid Dec.

Well back ON TOPIC guys, I had been wondering the same thing for a long time, but I fear no answer will be forthcoming and is probably a private matter between the Admin team and Moderators, (just like in any workplace scenario, how many of you have been in jobs where one day one of the top brass just dissappears and no explanation is ever given as to why) but it must have been something pretty bad, but Management don't have to answer to us, we are hardly shareholders are we?

On another point though, Thomas Merton was never banned, why did he decide to leave the forum so suddenly? I know he used to post a lot of controversial stuff, but he knew what he was doing and was able to take the flack that went with it.

Or did he just go too far and in the end it was doing his head in as he seemd to have made a lot of enemies on this board, (not me, but I know many of you were not big fans of his)

Boon, P1P is still very active in the CM forum, but he has his hands full with opening a new restaurant at the moment so he probably is not posting much elsewhere

Maybe the rather unkind poll on whether he was an asset, or, a liability to TV has something to do with his absence. The result was about 50/50.

There was some very hurtful remarks made by some people (you know who you are).

Tax is still around, in fact he has just posted on the Sports section a few minutes ago.

As for the others, people come and go, there are some very intellegent/funny new members coming along now, Tippaporn and Redrus to name but two, then there is Galuhka (probably spelt it wrong sorry maa'm), so although some old hands may have split there is always new blood joining TV with something interesting to bring to the forum

And of course some new members who spout rubbish,,,as well as some older ones !!!

I am however surprised that the Moderators let a poll on weather TM is welcome on this forum or not progress, IMO it should not have been allowed.

Who are we to play Judge and Jury, if the Moderators tolerated him then why should the Members be allowed to do this?

If he had done soemthing WRONG then he would have been banned, but he didn't and wasn't ?

I appreciate some members did not like the tone of his postings, but there is always the "Ignore User" button that nobody ever seems to use.

I voted for him to stay.At least he was interesting.As for some of the other guys we have lost I have not seen Darknight or Tornado for a while.Its' a shame really that some of these guys have either been banned or decided on their own to bugger off.

To keep a forum interesting you need a bit of controversy .

The thing that pisses me off are the punters who "really want to get rid of somebody'...like the ones that got really personal with TM.If you don't like the post or idea either argue against him or ignore it.

IMO the liveliest forum is the Gay forum. This adds a touch of danger and spice to my hum-drum existance at work, as when I'm viewing it (which is pretty often these days), I have to keep looking over my shoulder to make sure my co-workers don't see me on it.

I have a feeling that Thaivisa has got more boring because of the explosion of new sub-forums that have been introduced. People don't meet up in a thread like they used to.

Anyway, this is my 999th post, so, have to save my 1000th for a special occasion.
