Chatuchak Closing Down?

Featured Replies

There is a rumour going round the Net that the Weekend Markets at Chatuchak are going to be closed down. Something to do with high rents.

Can anyone confirm what's happening, if anything?

The rumour I heard was that it was Suan Lum (Night Market) that was closing.

Actually, they are closing down all of Bangkok for a period of 3 months, for repairs and general maintanence.

Not (Chatuchak) JJ market. I and some Thai partners have small shop there and all is ok! The night bazaar however will be closing down at the end of March as the property is owned by the Crown Property Bureau and has been leased out for building a new condominium.
