mia noi เมีย น้อย (not "mai noi" ไม่น้อย ) = minor wife, second wife

mai cow chai ไม่ เข้าใจ = (I, you, he, she, it, we, they) do(es) not understand

A better transliteration of the second is "mai kaojai".

It is not the same soft "ch" as in "church", the sound is closer to the "j" in "jet".
