All of the ones I've posted bring back memories from the past for me and the ones that kevjohn has posted do the same.Our family had a thing going

where one family member in turn each week could pick a record to buy and my very first pick was "Banana Boat Song" by Harry Belafonte and kevjohn has posted that one.Thanks very much kevjohn.Another one was "Good Night Irene" by the Weavers which I remember at about 8/9 years of age on holidays at Busselton and sitting in an old picture theater and that tune was in the movie which although I'm not sure could have had the same title.For some reason it has always stayed in my mind.

For a reason I've never found out..Goodnight Irene is the Bristol Rovers supporters song, since the 1950's

I've been accused of only posting what I want and I make no apology for that.I would welcome anyones contributions and in fact would encourage them to post thier own choices and that is the whole idea for starting the thread, to bring back thier musical memories from the past not only mine.

It would be nice to see other peoples "likes" from the 50's 60's and 70's.

As we all come from many different cultures and backgrounds, I am sure there is quite a mix, that could be added.

As Ron19 and myself are Aussies, I do understand how some might think that we are one sided.

But then, we don't know your "likes", so please post.
