Satun To Langkawi

Featured Replies

I posted this in the Southern Thailand forum a week ago with no response so I am now trying here.

There's an old thread regarding car parking at the ferry terminal in Satun. Can you still leave the car for a few days? Is it secure? What's the cost and who do you tip to keep an eye on your vehicle.

Hopefully someone here has done this and knows the answers.

me thinks: the possible likely reason to get no answer is that you used a wrong title. I would have expected the (boring same again) Qs re the boatlinks, times, cost etc.

Why not re-post with; Parking at Satul harbour?

I did on the first thread!

Send a PM to Peter Allen. He did this trip a couple of months ago.

There's probably even a thread about his visit to Langkawi.

Thanks, Old Croc. I had forgotten about Peter's thread.

I have been in touch and have the answer, which, for anyone interested, that the car park is free, quite isolated, and although not particularly secure seems to be safe enough to leave a car for a few days.

Thanks to petercallen for the info.

I'm going next week to Langkawi. I have a new car and I feel more safe to leave the car in a garage or something more controlled. Any place in Satun?
