I would like to take my Thai GF to the US to visit my family and friends for about 3 weeks. We have lived together here for about 3 years. We will both be returning at the end of the 3 week trip. I understand that the chief concern of the embassy here is whether the applicant has sufficient reason to return to Thailand.

She is 2 years into paying off her car- 3 years to go. All payments have been on time for over two years. She is renting a house and has a lease in her name. She has money in the bank (a couple hundred thousand baht). She has a decent job at a high end hotel making about 9,000 salary and 4,000 in service charge a month. She is a Director in a company that I have formed here. This company is yet to do anything...

Now my question is how much effort I should put into proving that I live here with her and that we have been together for many years and therefore, of course she will be returning here because this is where I live too. I could provide info from my employer that states I am here working for the forseeable future and have been here for years already. Would this be an important point to make in the application process or is their main concern how much money and assets the applicants posesses?

Thanks for any info!

As the purpose of travel is to visit your family it would be hard to not mention your relationship so I would gather all the documents showing your long term commitment and expected continued work in Thailand. The main concern is always return to Thailand and showing her boyfriend lives and works in Thailand should be a bit plus.

The US Embassy now has new procedures also. You can go online and schedule your interview appt in Bangkok or Chiang Mai. No need to spend a day taking application in and then then going back for interview. They charge anther 400 Baht for this service, well worth it to me as it saves a trip to Bangkok.
