Surely its not just on internet forums?!

It's everywhere, but on a forum it can seem more concentrated.

Perhaps it is the only place where they can say what they wish to say and willnot be dismissed immediately by others who will see them simply as an old man speaking and stop listening. It may also be a place where they can go back and read what they said and be able verify they were right and no one listened. In this way they can see forums as their assistant to reclaim,credibility. Far to many people fail to understand that old does not mean stupid or ill informed.

Maybe they wouldnot gripe if they got respect.

I was going to have a gripe, BUT my age it seems will come to the fore.

Its all relative.

With 50 or 60 years of life to look back on and having experienced much...it is reasonable to understand us older folk will see more problems to complain of...I remember when etc...and we then only have a few years left to get those messages across.

So, lets not dilly dather about it and whine on...life is short in the second half.

Everybody gripes , the thing is that , men don't like to show to their male friends they gripe. It would look weak so they rather do it on forums while women have a little more guts and gripe to their closest friend.

I stopped commenting on this thread after I realized it had gone down the gutter. Also I had one of my posts removed after I posted the dictionary definition of 'object' and was accused for flaming.

Very disappointed to be honest. People complain that there needs to be more women on the board yet its ok for people to refer to women in such derogatory terms. No wonder there are barely any women on this forum

I'm a total sucker for fashion but I can't seem to find any real nice clothes that actually fit me! It's mainly my lower half I'm having problems with as I unfortunately have quite a large ass!

Griping about the size of one's bum, still constitutes a gripe.

Well, few posts above i was referring about " phuturatica " being robbed once, and another time being followed by a mob of teens on the way home...

...Everybody empathized with her gripes at that time,
