THE PUBLIC HEALTH MINISTRY TO INJECT MORE THAN 50 BILLION BAHT TO IMPROVE THAI PEOPLE'S HEALTH.

The Public Health Ministry prepares to spend more than 50 billion baht to boost Thai people’s health, focusing on reducing congestion in hospitals.

Public Health Minister Pinij Jarusombat () revealed that this year, the Public Health Ministry has been allocated 50 billion baht. He said that the ministry aims to promote Thai people’s health, by limiting cases to 118 million times this year. He said that the projects will focus on promoting health among monks and novices, to celebrate His Majesty the King’s 60th accession to the throne. He added that a project will be launched to provide people with basic medical services at locations where emergencies occur, adding that the emergency medical units have been improved to be more efficient.

The Public Health Minister added that the project “ a New Decade for Promotion of Thai Wisdom” will be launched to persuade people to use Thai traditional medicine by 10% and increase use of herbal medicine in hospital to be more than 5% of the hospital’s total medicine bill.

Someone is going to have a sore backside. :o

Seriously the upgrade is long overdue.

The public hospitals leave a lot to be desired.

Not sure why monks and novices need special attention?
