My only reason to post was to show there is some variations in what happens when mailing less than 15 days before the due date. I think it's prudent to mail it then, but one can't always do so. I got my receipt back with no notices of any kind so I guess I'm lucky.

It did take18 days from the day they received it to get the receipt back to me which was worrisome given it was my first time submitting the TM 47 in the year I've been here. Getting my 1st extension of stay and trips out of the country allowed me to not have to send in the form any sooner.

Again thanks to lopburi3 and litebeer for their help in getting me this far.

If you see an address in Bangkok you are looking at Bangkok Immigration. The national immigration web site is

http://www.immigration.go.th/

What I am trying to say I guess it reads to me that first section and the 3rd section contradict one and other.

All I am trying to point out is that the 1st section @ Number 3. to make it idiot proof whistling.gif should have added on the end ( "See information below " ).

I am sure I saw the answer to this on this somewhere in this thread but can't find it again. Need to know if I enter on a 30 day stamp and then convert to Non O, is 90 day start date the date of entry or date of conversion?

It will start from the date you do your extension. The first extension is considered a report. Immigration should tell you or put a slip in your passport informing you of when your first report is due.

Sorry if this is not exactly on topic, but if i have been previously (for 3 years) 90 day reporting in BKK, can i (all of a sudden) do i 90 day report in, let's say Ubon Ratchathani?

I am moving to Ubon and still on my non-imm extension. My 90 day report is due shortly after i move to Ubon. Can i just do it there as normal?

In case it makes a difference. I am on extension of stay based on education (in BKK)

Thanks for any advice.

You can do a 90 day report at any office as long as you have a local address to put on the TM47 form.

They may question you as to how you are able to attend school if you are now living in Ubon.
