Very useful for anyone coming from Australia who wishes to sort out Myanmar visas there before leaving.

Just to let any one know.

If you are applying for a visa through the Myanmar embassy in Canberra, give it heaps of time.

I would suggest submitting the application 3 months before travel (the maximum allowed).

They have had my application for 4 weeks, and I just spoke to them and they say at least another 2 weeks (very pleasant and helpfull person).

They are swamped with applications and this is compounded by people not submitting complete applications or not giving adequate time, and causing problems by expecting their applications to be given priority.
