I am looking for a Kawasaki GTO in a decent state with a green book.

Not looking for a showroom state model. Willing to pay up to 10,000 baht.

I live in Bangkok.

Any leads are welcome.

I looked at their website already, but can't find anything about that.

And I think they would ask more than 10,000.

You need to call them. The GTOs were about 10.000b.

do you want to know my condom size as well?biggrin.png

But, if you tell me the reason of your inquiries and if i find it reasonable, i PM you.

and, yes, gto now in Thailand is only used to carry things especially by the gas cylinder carriers.

But, it was a good bike of its time, it is still cheap to buy and maintain.

But, if you buy it do not expect any girl as a pillion rider and forget group ridesbiggrin.png

I think I can guess that already :D

The reason I ask is that you seem to thrust you opinion into every thread. And frankly they sound a little childish. What does it matter WHY he wants a GTO?

My previous bike here in BKK was a GTO. Very thrustworthy bike and took my on lots of trips around Thailand.

I did not ask for any opinions on the bike, I asked for leads to buy a decent one for about 10,000 baht. Maybe I do want to start my own courier service. Remember, GTO stands for Gas Transfer Only. And don't worry about my pillion, I got my other bike for that, the bike people do like to see on group rides.

Thaicbr, man i think you forget.

We are in a forum and anyhing related with the topic is an idea. You like it or not.

And of course i trust my opinion what do you think? You dont trust yours?

Let s finish it with a proverb to make it smooth:

If you dont trust your opinion, no one trust your opinion man.

And yes i am a 10 years old chinese kid:D

Lets back to topic:

Does gto really means gas transfer?

And i like the double on each side suspension setup gas transfer guys do.

It gives the bike a tough feeling.

Gto is a good bike. They carry all bkk.

Old is gold as always and they use them for decades and they will use them for more decades to come.

Regards.

GTO = Gran Turismo Omologata or was that for another kind of vehicle wink.png

Nothing wrong with the Kawa GTO, but i like almost every 2 stroke bike ( even workhorses)

When the oppurtunity would come along i would be more then happy to add one to my collection.

Good look with your search, there still plenty around.but be prepared to spend a bit more on some new parts.

Got a call back today.

They had those GTO's a long time ago and they are all gone.

So, does anyone have new leads?

I have seen lots of them at the second hand bike shops along Charan Sanitwong road between soi1 to soi 35, there are lots of shops like that on both sides.

I like classic bikes as well so i look these shops sometime - i like yamaha rxz though.

A while ago I must say, the scooter shops near to Sapahan Kwai BTS used to have a reasonably steady turn over. Hope it helps

As far as I know, there are no second hand bike shops at Saphan Kwai BTS station.

I not think that number still works, you better try the office 02-3880868 (let somebody who speaks Thai call first, and let him/her ask for somebody who can speak English... works like a charm)

And again you are wrong, the number worked perfectly fine and the guy (Thai guy) spoke very good English.

My first bike in Thailand was a GTO, great bike. The exaust is too low to the ground though; I ruined the engine by driving through water, also the drum brakes don't work too well in the rain.

Great bike when it's dry though.
