The worst for me has to be the baseball bat scene at the end of Casino where the two brothers bet battered then buried alive. :D

When I saw one of them breath out through the dust being shovelled onto his face , that did it for me. :D:D:o:D

Yeah, or the trunk scene in Goodfellas. :D

A good mob movie will always have a scene that makes you cringe.

Saw Goodfellas on a first date because she was dying to see it. Was there a second date? Nope.

Strange - I can watch the Casino baseball bat scene without problems. It's the head-in-vice part I have to forward past...

What about Payback when Mel (Parker) gets his toes smashed one by one with a hammer.

Ouch! :D

Well i have given this some thought, and i have decided for overall sick and twisted, not in just one scene but throught the whole film, there is a choice of three, and they are.......

Romper stomper

The dentist

Bad boy bubby

These arent in any particular order, but i think bad boy bubby will take some beating.

Well romper stomper is an old Russel crowe movie, where he is part of a neo nazi skin head gang. Very well done and emotive.

The dentist is a american gore movie, but pretty twisted imagination for whoever wrote that.

Bad boy bubby, well what can i say, one of the most bizzare twisted film i have evver seen. Truly strange. Its all about a lad that hasnt been outside for 30 years because his mum tells him the air outside is poison, eventually he goes outside, and all sorts of strange things happen, including holding up a petrol staion with his dead cat rapped up in cling film.

Well, then I will keep those in mind when I wish to be disturbed. :D

call me a sick puppy but i have seen my fair share of disturbing movies and have read some disturbing bits of literature.

movies:

AUDITION: a japanese flick, the finale has this guy getting his feet cut off with a wire by a psychotic girl.

SUSPIRIA: italian horror meister, dario argento's most famous piece, the opening murder scene and the barbed wire scene. whoaaa!!!!!

SALO: pasolini's adaptation of marquis de sade's 120 days of sodom. pasolini was murdered by one of the movie's male cast. you figure.

SAW and SAW 2: for the mean spiritness of it all.

IN MY SKIN: a sick little flick about this girl who self mutilates herself and theres this real disturbing scene of the girl cutting bits and herself and EATING them.

LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT: wes craven's classic. the uncut version is still banned in the uk.

KISSED: about a girl who practices necrophilia., ditto for necromaktik and nekromantik 2, 2 german movies about necrophilia.

I STAND ALONE: by gaspar noe, the same guy who made IRREVERSIBLE. if u watched irreversible, i stand alone is about the old man in the first few frames.

and the scariest: BATTLEFIELD EARTH: <deleted>????!!!!!

books:

les onze milles verges by guillaume apollinaire

120 days of sodom, juliette and justine by marquis de sade.

story of the eye by georges bataille

the torture garden by octave mirbeau

exquisite corpse by poppy z brite.

ENJOY!!!!!!!!!*chuckle*

woof! woof!

btw, i also happen to thoroughly enjoy going to happytreefriends.com. find that strangely amusing....

I catch that in G4TV from time to time. It ends up being really funny or really stupid. Poor quality control there I think.

A scene from one of the Hannibal the Cannibal films. (Hannibal?) The scene where Anthony Hopkins lifts the top of the skull off his living victim, slices off a piece of his brain, fries it and makes him eat it! :o

Nightwatch, a Danish movie some 15 years old. Brilliant movie with a very intelligent plot, but lots of rather unpleasant scenes...like the guy who cuts off his thumb to get the hand out of the handcuffs...

Anyone read American Psycho? After reading the book I'm not keen on seeing this in full color... :o

Oh...and then there was this French anti-death penalty movie I saw years ago on TV. Has a very graphic execution scene with the guillotine at the end of the movie. Still cannot sleep thinking of it.

As for the gimp scene, I think it's just hilarious funny...as all Tarrantino

American Psycho - actually it was rather funny in a warped sort of way. Take a look!!! :D

yeah, well, I didn't say I liked them in the dentists office....

But I can think of a few places where I'd be quite comfortable with the girls/.

I didnt find that gimp scene really sick, like the raro said above it was all funny tarantino stuff..and I haven't seen theothersqueel like a piggy scene so I can comment on that...however one of the sickest scenes I've seen is in a movie (whose name i've forgotten :o) whereby they have 2 people fighiting each other, one guy literally keeps the other guy's arm under his knee and snaps it into 2 by pulling it up ..then prepares to rape him before he's smashed with a fire extinguisher right in his face, multiple times after someone else comes in for revenge....the echoing "thump" coming from the fire extinguisher slamming into his face sends chills down my spine everytime i think about it.

The book was funnier and far more disturbing than the film, I had to force myself to finish it.

At the beginning he's saying casually to his manicurist that he'd like to get a girl and a medium sized dog and hook them up to an IV blood transfusion unit and switch their blood whilst wearing a big yellow smiley face mask and playing the Bobby McFerrin version of Don't Worry Be Happy! :D

I can't even begin to repeat what goes on in the second half of the book, as for the film its pretty lame in comparison and only worth watching because Christian Bale is in it. :o

Never said it was good, just disturbing. :D

I sort of liked that film because it was set in one of my most favorite cities in the world, Florence. Been there TBB? :D

I think Tobe Hooper's original Texas Chainsaw Massacre was one of the most frightening films I've ever seen. Based on some real-life incidents, too.

No. :D

But it's on my list of places to see. I want to see Dante's house.

The gimp scene is definitely the more disturbing one for me.

However, what keeps me awake at night is the "curb stomping" scene in American History X. Thinking about it still gives me the shudders.

That is a brutal scene. I admit that stayed with for a while. :o

One of the Vietnam War movies where the yank soldier caves in the "gooks" (not my word) head with the but of his rifle. Sick sick sick, in front of his family too. :o:D:D

Gook was a really bad way to refer to the Vietnamese people. I have seen alot of Vietnam movies, but I don't remember a scene like that. Can you remember anything else about the movie? I am not doubting BTW, I just can't remember.
