Want to take my lady for a few days to HongKong, does she need a visa, or for that matter, do I? I'm on an Australian passport, she's on Thai.

Thais don't need a visa for Hong Kong, but Laos nationals do.  Does anyone have experience of applying for a visa to Hong Kong for a Laos national?  Can it be done in Laos or Thailand?  Is it straightforward?

been to hk afew times no visa required for oz  passport   next trip want to go train from hk to china down vetnaim and back cm
