Follow This Topic ... Now Lost To Me

Recommended Posts

Posted

I have an ongoing issue with the 'Follow This Topic' ... it keeps getting reset.

So, there are some long standing, slow burn topics that I like to follow ... such as The Alphabet Game in the Photography and Arts Forum.

Accordingly, I click the 'Follow This Topic' button and every time a member makes a new post, I get an instant email.

Well ... I used to.

Somehow, many, (possibly all?) 'Follow This Topic' get set to zero every time you have a software upgrade.

What is difficult to give you exactly the timing on it due to the nature of the problem.

... am I Robinson Crusoe?

Also if there're no posts for a certain about of time it seems the subscription gets cancelled. This should be an option changeable in the user settings somewhere ideally, don't think it is currently though.

If no replies appear for a certain time the subscription will be cancelled. I have no details right now, as I'm traveling.

thanks ... when you are nearer your desk if you could review the question, that would be appreciated.

Thanks for the succinct reply.

If it's not using resources, could that be extended to say 30 or 45 days?

^^ the reason that I ask for this longer time is that I have a tread running over in the Farming Forum about the Fish and Shrimp Farm and it's a mature thread but occasionally someone drops by and posts there and I'd like to be notified to reply to them.

Thoughts from the Admin Team?

We will ask the software vendor to change the auto prune in next version of the software. Please be patient smile.png

Since the guys just did the maintainance ... did this request get a look-in?

Cheers
