I've looked on line and everything seems to be as expensive as Bangkok. Can anyone know of a cheap guest house near/in the center? Or an area where they can be found?

Agree - it's not in the centre, but very good and only a short bike ride away.

There are many Cheap guest houses around the harbour, just pass the Hilton Hotel, if you tell them you will stay a month, you can get the price down a lot for sure

I am checking out of my place in 5 days - its a decent size, 60sqm - close to the center of town, you can walk it in around 20 mins or motorbike taxi picks me up and takes me to town for 30b
