Chinese Embassy In Bangkok

Featured Replies

I looked here, and I googled, without success. I know where the consulate in Chiang Mai is, but now I live in Hua Hin.

Details, please? Thank you.

You can get there easily by getting off the subway at the Thailand Cultural Center stop, it's close by.

I give up - their official Thai Embassy website says nothing about their locations in Thailand. Bambina, thanks for the link; I copied the page about documents needed (which is standard), though it didn't list price, and last time I went, Americans pay double, which is only fair.

Locations in Thailand:

The Embassy of the People's Republic of China

57 Rachadapisake Road,

Dindaeng, Bangkok 10310

Tel: 0-2245-7043, 0-2245-7044

The Consulate-General of the People's Republic of China, Chiang Mai

111 Changloh Road,

Haiya District,

Chiang Mai 50100

Tel: 0-5327-6125, 0-5320-0424, Fax: 0-5327-4614

The Consulate-General of the People's Republic of China, Songkhla

9 Sadao Road,

Songkhla 90000

Tel: 0-7432-2034, 0-7432-5045, Fax: 0-7432-3772

Muchas gracias, Senor!

It can be a pain in the _ss going there if you need a Visa for China. It's very very busy* sometimes and you need to come back after 4 or 5 hours to pick up your visa...

You can also have it done for you by a travel agent or ask your hotel. Cost a bit more but safe you from the hassle and taxis up and down.

Maybe you can have it done by one of the agents you know in Hua Hin?

*last time I was there...about 50 to 60 people waiting before I came in... :D you have to take a ticket with your number :o

Oohh, and...beware of (any) Chinese Holidays; than they're closed!

good luck though :D

Depends where you go. If in a hurry, I pass through Hong Kong (OK, I anyway have to be there).

Hop into the China Trouble (sorry Travel) Service office, fill in the form, with the help of a very friendly officer talking care of customers. Pick up a few hours later.
