The Apex, Any Good Memories?

In relation to another thread, just curious if anyone else has fond memories from the Apex.

For me and the fellas, breakfast was great to hang out and all parties to chatter about things.

Stayed there roundabout 20 years ago.

Only the older rooms in the back where there, and even back then they were already "well used"!

It was one of the cheapest places, ac/satellite tv/swimmingpool....250 Baht/day....

Those were the good old days. It really was a great deal back then. Nowadays, I prefer to pay slightly more than the Apex charges and get treated a lot nicer. The Diana Inn is not much more during low season.

I remember the Apex being recommended to me by quite a few people just after it was built . Could never get a room and as it was so popular and regarded as good value. Such a long time ago now .

Why everyone is talking about the Apex memories? I drove past today and it's still there.

I think because it has been in the news lately about someone leaving without any memory.
