Dtac Sim Cards: 2 Cards For 1 Number ? - And Sim Vs Micro-Sim

Hi. I soon want to get a pre-paid DTAC SIM card, preferrably at the airport’s arrival hall. Now here’s my special desire:

- i would like TWO SIM cards for the SAME number (sic)

- i would like one SIM card in old regular big size and one in micro-SIM size

- if i can’t get TWO SIM cards in two sizes, i would like just one SIM card as a hybrid-SIM that fits both sizes

Background: i would like to use two different phones on different occasions – but both with the same number. I dislike swapping the SIMs between phones manually. Moreover, one phone takes regular old-style sized SIMs, while the other only eats micro-SIMs.

Thanks for all experiences!

Old phone , new phone... I think when you are too drunk to switch the cards its already too late. ;-)

Seriously. IFAIK 2 simcards on the same number can never be activated at the same time.

Is it possible? interesting..

Apple did not move to micro sim by an accident.. :)

Multisims have been around for a long time already. DTAC offers multisim for pospaid customers, but I'm not sure if the 'secondary sim' can only be used for mobile data. Secondary sim was 150 to 250 extra per month.

AIS also offers multiple sims with the same number. I have one in my tablet that is the same number as my phone and I pay one bill for both sims monthly. However, I do not believe they offer this for pre-paid customers; this goes for D-tac as well.

Could not find this option on the DTAC web site (two sims with the same number) , does anyone have a reference

Hell, I might even try "number portability" and go with AIS

Why don't you buy and use a "SIM cutter"? You can buy one in MBK. Or you can even easily cut bigger SIMs yourself without one using a small knife and sandpaper.
