Could you please tell me how I would say the following sentences in Thai using English spelling :-

'Please ask <name> to phone me'

and

'I have put some money in <names> bank account'

Thanks in advance

It is very difficult to do just by writing, but I will try. If you mentioned what area of the English-speaking world you are from, it will be easier to find a transcription that fits your pronunciation. I will attempt one for standard US English and one for Queen's English - anyone who disagrees, please correct me.

US - kaw hi <name> toe glahb

Pronounce 'kaw' to rhyme with US 'law'. Make sure the vowel in 'glahb' is very short.

UK - kor hi <name> toe glub

'toe' should not have a vowel glide as it would in Southern British English. Try to make the vowel a constant sound, like a Scotsman.

Second sentence:

US pom own dtung bpuy bunchee <name> lae-o

UK pom orn dtung bpi bunchee <name> lair-o

...hope that helps... and hope there is no sick buffalo in this story.

Good luck!

Thanks for the reply, I'm from the southeast of England.

No sick buffalo as far as I'm aware, maybe a sick parrot though...but that's another story
