Nexus 7 Or Tab 2

Featured Replies

Thinking about buying my wife a 7" tablet for her birthday.

She'll going to use it for Thai gossip, Facebook and reading books.

Think about the Nexus 7 or the Samsung galaxy tab 2.

The Tab is actually cheaper here than the Nexus 7 as opposite to the US.

And comments.

And does anyone know a good website to download Thai books.

Do you need 3G?

Is near-term availability a requirement? In another thread a poster has commented that it is impossible for him to find a Nexus 7 in Pattaya.

I've seen a Tab 2 7/8 GB/WiFi only, and a Tab 2 7/16 GB/3G here (Bangkok), in shops as recently as yesterday.

Screen resolution jumps out at me. Also Google Nexus devices do not support uSD cards.

No 3G necessary.

I compared the prizes on this site.

The 16GB Tab2 looks like the choice for my wife.

The µSB slot for movies and the back camera for facebook pictures I think will roll it in to the favour for the TAB 2.

Also it's 900 baht cheaper than the Nexus, which should be 6000 baht if bought in the US.
