Can anyone foresee any problems with departing my home country using one passport and entering Thailand on a second passport? I am doing this because the second passport gives me a longer

stay without having to buy a tourist visa.

No problem that I can see. A lot of people do it all the time.

So long as you leave Thailand using the same passport on which you entered the Country there should be no problem.
