Seems like we've got 2 challenges already from CLB.

Maybe they were just posted for amusement.

Anybody got a clever one for this?

I'm struggling.

This is the current one from me.

It is not a trick. It is western, was used in Thailand, I believe operated by the Thai's RTAF and Americans.

307 were built in total and they varied in their roles significantly.

Dancealot, that A340 I posted, details in this post. You are correct with your guess though.

The KLM was a Photoshop knockup, bit of s joke. Anyway, you can tell it is not right as the cockpit engines are not to scale giggle.gif

Nope, the DHC-4 (click for a pic) was Canadian. This is 100% American.

The Thai, Laos and Cambodian Air force also operated it according to Wikipedia, but without a doubt,it was mainly used by the US Air force in this region.

Actually, I am not sure if the CIA or the US AirForce operated around here, this is correct.

Air America Airlines had headquarters in Udorn, Thailand. But the aircraft, including the C-123B, were flown by private contractors sometimes under contract of the CIA. Interesting history on it here Air America

Air America was CIA thought. Could be wrong.

Superceded by superior knowledge from Tywais.

The only plane I can spot is Thai Airways TG 466 leaving Melbourne Airport without me on it.

there'll be another one coming along soon I'm sure.

talking of airshows.

Most impressive sight (and sound) I've ever heard. British F1 Grand Prix at Brands Hatch just down the road from Biggin Hill, many years ago.

Pre race, Vulcan bomber glides down the pit lane at about 200ft. End of the pit lane, full throttle.

Almost vertical ascent.

Bit like a Bentley Mulsanne on a motorway.

Rule Britannia.

when I was a nipper in a village in Berkshire you'd often see warplanes of all descriptions flying over. Vulcans were me favourite.
