I could use skype without probs until this morning.

Cannot transmit, I can hear the caller clearly but they cannot hear me.

Same with a test call to Skype.

Any idea which component needs replacing?

The mics I have are new.

Have you tested the mic in windows recorder? start/programs/accessories/entertainment/sound recorder

If it doesn't record in Sound Recorder, take a look at your recording/input controls by double clicking on the speaker icon on taskbar and then options/properties and check recording radio button and click OK

. Mic should be checked, sometimes mine would switch to line -in for some reason.
