gray42 Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 I wasn't sure of the exact date I needed to renew my 599 baht 3G plan, but I knew it was close because I was getting text messages from TrueMove in Thai saying things like 3G and 599. My phone's balance was 0 baht, so I went to 7-Eleven and added 600 baht onto my phone. I got the SMS that my credits were received. My 3G worked the rest of the day, but the next morning it stopped working, so I checked my balance. It was 0 baht. When I tried going to a website I got this screen: So it seems like it did auto-renew a plan, but not the same plan I had before. It looks like maybe I'm on their True WiFi plan (no 3G/EDGE) and I need some type of login. All of the messaging I get is in Thai, so I have no idea what to do and there's no TrueMove shop near me. Does anybody know what I can do? I really want to get my 3G working again...
gray42 Posted December 31, 2012 Author Posted December 31, 2012 Also, I think this is the SMS I got right before I added more credit. It may have come after that. I get so many in Thai that I don't know anymore...
Gary A Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 The 600 baht is not enough to pay for a 599 baht plan. You need to pay the tax. I always add an extra 100 baht to cover that part.

Ah, thanks for that. Do you know why it still took the 600 baht I added? Are they keeping it until I pay the remainder?

After you put in the extra money, wait to see if your plan is renewed. If not, give them a call on 1331 and explain the situation to them. 1

lomatopo Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 That plan should auto-renew assuming you have enough balance to cover the monthly recurring fee plus the 7% VAT, so ~ 643 baht. (TrueMove H have 1 GB/350 baht and 3 GB/650 baht one time 30 day plans which offer hard-caps and do not auto-renew.) My best guess is that your plan expired, then you added money, then chewed through that at 1 baht/min, but this is just a guess. What is the reply to any one of the following: USSD: *900# SEND/CALL IVR: *9000 SEND/CALL SMS: "B" in body, send to 9789
monty Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Truemove-h charges 2 Baht/MB (+7% vat) when you go online without having a package or when your package expired. So for the OP's post, the 600 Baht was not enough to extend his package, and as he wrote his internet kept working. He used exactly 280 MB to use up his 600 Baht! To be honest, the system of True is really crappy. It's all up to the customer to keep track, all SMS's are in Thai only (as is most of their website). One small mistake on the customer's side and you lose money at an alarming rate, Compare to AIS, where you get a message when you have 50 MB left on your package, you get messages BEFORE your package expires notifying of the day and hour it will extend, so you can make sure you have enough credit, and if you still miss it you will keep getting messages that the system tried to extend, but failed due to insufficient credit. Until you put the money in, when it will auto extend again. In English!
Gary A Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Yes, if the OP was online with no plan, Truemove-H will eat however much credit that was on the phone.
