UK Passport renewal - email received 'send us your passport' 2 weeks after applying?
I am surprised you don't know the 10 year ruling is in respect of the Schengen area, not EU countries, but laid down by the EU. The only thing that I was commenting about was that a poster who "knows his facts" included non-EU countries in his list of EU countries, demonstrating his lack of knowledge of that "fact", not the legislation. -

Trump hits island home only to penguins with 10% tariffs
Yawn. The minimum possible tariff rate is 10%. That is given to countries that have net zero, perfectly balance trade with the US. Since the penguins don't export anything to the US, and don't buy anything from the US, it's a net zero country and therefore qualifies for the 10% tariff. Some people will look for anything to disparage the new post globalism economic order. Even making nonsensical threads like this. -

Wall Street plummets ,trillions lost
'Lay person' or otherwise, Tug (and to be so or not isn't subject to any judgement on my part, I assure you), I reckon you've proved you've little real need for any 'expert advice' at all, by how you distill the deliberately distracting, "apparent" complexities down to an essence which any unbiased expert would confirm is in total accord with the reality (and your own suspicions) that the working class are gonna be bending over and taking what they've always taken. In this case however.....one isn't just talking about US workers, or US economy. It's a bucket of turds thrown down so many other wells we all drink from, worldwide. (And btw, isn't the US congress the only body that can constitutionally enact such moves?..... stinky stuff.) But anyway, agree with you Tug. -

Various tricks with Agoda
Yes, booking direct with a property can often be cheaper. For searching around for rates comparison I use Trivago. I used to use Agoda but found that their prices could often be beaten by Expedia, Booking.com and others.
