Imac Repair Man

Featured Replies

The headphone socket on my imac not working and I use a lot to

output to Hi FI, anyone know anyone can repair please ?

I would prefer not to give to a mac shop in Pattaya as they normally send to Bangkok

it takes minimum a week and I use the mac all the time. Also expensive.

thanks

any suggestions gratefully received

Andy

You could get up to Bangkok in a 2 hours and have someone look at it there quickly. That's all one can do with a Mac in Pattaya I think.

When i had similar bought a usb soundcard specifically for the mac. Cheap and instant fix.

But if you still have warranty get it done properly.

Just an idea have you checked System Preferences/sound.

A good alternative is FiiO USB DAC-E10 works very well.

Is it under warranty? If not, try pattaya2you in Tukcom. Not sure if they deal with Apples or not, but they have great service.

Hi thanks for that suggestion - can I ask you where you bought the mac sound card - that would solve the problem, cheers Andy

thanks Peter I like the idea of using a DAC as it may improve the sound and isolate the headphone jack. Can I ask you where you bought your Fiio ?

I have tried Tuk.com and Central but no joy. cheers Andy
