Western expats always complain bitterly about dual pricing, noise and air pollution, dangerous driving, unscrupulous cabbies, crooked police, no English commentary on the World Cup, feral dogs, etc, but they stick around. Why?

Posted

The majority of complaints are based on observation of things which are different to the society or laws of their country of origin.

As to why they stay, they adapt as every ex-pat in every country in the world has to. The ones that can't make that change will not last and will go home. The ones that don't have a choice (those here for work, etc) will make more observations and if it is their want, make more complaints.

Obviously IMHO of course.....................wink.png

The headline says it all, I agree with it.

I don't walk around London with 21 year old girls fawning at me, declaring that I am much better looking than them because my skin is lighter
